| I think I need to make a rule wherein I do not make plans unless my day planner is in hand. I have gone and overbooked myself again, and have been unable to rouse myself out of bed at a decent hour for over a week now. This is bad, not only because I need more sleep, but it means I have not been working out and it makes my request to work 7:30-4 instead of 8:30-5 ridiculous.
My goal for the rest of this week is to be firm about leaving wherever by nine so I may be in bed with the lights out by ten. Also, from now on I will write down every little plan I make so that I can block my time better and not overbook!

| The furniture is moved, and so now it's just a few odds and ends, and the items I use daily. Moving should be done before I go to the end of season party at Plimoth on Sunday...just need to make sure I don't get too relaxed now that I am almost done.
Caught "where the wild things are" and liked it, and now tea and a nap in the bathtub before dinner and dishes. Another carload to the new house, and I will be glad to be finished just to have my days off back again.
Also, I am trying to set a record today to see if I can drink the most chocolate milk in one day. Ever.

| A rainy day working in the Parsonage = stealthily reading "The Shady Side Or Life In A Country Parsonage." A story about a young woman who becomes the wife of a minister, and all of the trials she has to endure as a result. Published in 1853, this is a great read! | |

| Beginning to really look forward to being in the new house, with it's large yard and hiking in the back. I currently live in the new suburbia with a big house, tiny yard, and neighbors that are all blonde, lithe, and don't have to work. It's very Stepford.
So I am thinking ahead to my new vegetable garden, and what I will grow. I plan on starting small this year, as I have gardens to look after at work too. Debating on getting chickens this spring, I'll have to see how long I end up staying in one place.
Butchered my first sheep yesterday. It went well, although I was slow, having only done birds before. I was pleased that I didn't really get upset. With birds, it's different, I don't like them (although I do like egg production), but I do like sheep. As a vegetarian, I didn't know how I would handle the slaughter, but I half-watched from a window and was fine. I find great comfort in being involved in meat production, because I know these animals led a good life, know they were slaughtered humanely, and know they were treated with respect during butchering. I can't take part in the eating, as I no longer have the enzymes to break meat down, but I can watch my friends eating happily, proud of all the work we have done.

| Coffee with eggnog + bath + book + a pleasant smelling candle = joy and procrastination with the first day of moving. | |

| It's funny how dressing up in early 19th century clothing for a living can change my desire for outlandish Halloween costumes.
Tomorrow I am attending a masquerade held by friends at Plimoth with some friends/co-workers from OSV. I spent hours on the mask: a plaster-of-Paris party yielded the general shape, and today I added the details. Ribbons, moss, stones, and lots of glitter, this is something I am proud of. It came time to choose my wardrobe and after many changes, I have settled on something. Quirky, curvy, librarian! Oh wait, that is how I dress when not in any kind of uniform! Only I can't remember the last time it happened beyond my daily cardigan. I tried outlandish, but everything kept coming out as my usual vintage.
So tomorrow night, I will applaud my friends for the elaborate efforts they have made with their masks and wardrobe, while I am more than content with my lesser costume. - Mood:sleepy

| It's amazing the way a song can catch you off guard. KT Tunstall in the dressing room: not a pretty sight. | |

| Dishes washed, sheets changed, and flannel petticoat repaired! It's not much but I'm amazed I found the time! | |
